  1. Kia ora Charlee,

I hope you’re having a great day! It’s fantastic to meet you! My name is Olive and I’m a new blog commentator for Kaikohekohe on The Summer Learning Journey. I’m working Teaser Week and I’m so excited to see what you and your classmates are getting up to!

Congratulations on completing your first activity! What a great job you’ve done so far! First of all, I love the effort you’ve put into your blog post. It’s obvious you’ve worked really hard on it. Passion and creativity that students like you show really makes blog commentators like me happy. I think you’ve provided some really strong reasons about being a chess player. I agree with you! It would be horrible to lose all your money as the losing team! I think your images are really effective! Please just remember to tell your readers where they came from. You can do this by including the link of where you got the photo in your blog post. It’s super important to remember this as the pictures aren’t your - you are only borrowing them. Other than that, ka pai for a great first post!

Keep participating in the activities, you’re doing a great job so far! What one has been your favourite? Remember the official start of The Summer Learning Journey is 16th December (Next week) so be sure to get online and check all the activities out! There’s lots of points at stake and some great prizes to win!

Thank you again for your great blog post, I’m looking forward to see what else you come up with this week!

    Ngā mihi,
    Olive

  2. Kia ora Charlee,

Merry Christmas! I hope you are having a great holiday so far :)

My name is Tayla and I am the Cluster Manager for the Summer Learning Journey in Kaikohekohe. I just wanted to pop in and say that it’s not too late to start the programme! You can find the activities here: https://sites.google.com/site/summerlearningjourney/weekly-activities

You can do any of the activities, so take a look at some of the options. I’m sure there will be something that you’ll find interesting to learn about.

I hope I get to read some of your work!

    Ngā mihi,
    Tayla
